Twin Guinep is a small family publishing company founded in Jamaica in 1974 by Dennis and Jacqueline (Jackie) Ranston. Both Dennis, a children’s book illustrator and graphic designer and Jackie, a researcher, book editor and published author, acquired extensive experience in publishing while working in the British book industry.
The company's main focus is on education, both pre-school and primary. The present series of eleven workbooks is specially designed to help teachers and parents to prepare children ages 3 to 5 years with a solid foundation when they enter primary education. These books and others are widely used throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean Islands as well as the UK and USA.
